International truck transport Lower Silesia
The role of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in international transport
Lower Silesia, located in the southwestern part of the country, is the seventh biggest region in Poland. It borders with the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie voivodeships in the north, and with the Opolskie voivodship in the east. From the south and west, they are surrounded by the Czech Republic and Germany. Several European capitals are located relatively close to Wrocław - the capital of Lower Silesia - Prague (275 km), Berlin (345 km), Bratislava (410 km), and Vienna (420 km) . Peripheral location region relative to the capital of the country is also an advantage. All of this makes this region a key location for international transport in Europe.
The road network of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship is one of the longest in the country. The roads connecting Western and Eastern Europe run here. One of the branches of the Baltic-Adriatic corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network TEN-T core network passes through Lower Silesia.

Lower Silesia consists of 26 counties and 4 cities with county rights. Most of Lower Silesia is identified with the mining of copper ores. The exploitation of this raw material plays a very important role in the functioning of the economy of the region and country. However, it should be remembered that Lower Silesia is also rich in other equally valuable energetic, metallic, chemical and rock minerals. The voivodship has over 382.9 thousand economic entities, i.e. 8.5% of enterprises in the country, which gives the region fifth place in Poland. The main industrial sectors of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship are automotive, electrical engineering and electromechanics, as well as plastics and the production of metal products.
The key geographical location, transport links with Western Europe, natural resources, well-educated staff, numerous areas of economic activity and care for the promotion of the region determine the investment attractiveness of Lower Silesia, its dynamic development and the demand for truck transport services.
